Cypress has a very thorough screening process. We check references, verify professional licensure and affiliations and perform criminal and other background checks. Additionally, Cypress HomeCare Solutions has been doing pre-employment drug screening since our inception.
Yes. Employees are provided with written policies and procedures during orientation and training. We ensure compliance with ongoing oversight, clear expectations and appropriate consequences.
All of our employees must hold current First Aid and CPR certifications. In the event of an emergency, they are required to call 911 immediately, render assistance if safe to do so, then call Cypress to file a report.
You can call us any time: 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our phone line is staffed by real, live, in-house employees who can personally assist you.
No. There is no doctor’s prescription or pre-authorization required.
Our field supervisor conducts an initial consultation with the patient and/or family member(s) to develop a specific, individually tailored care plan. Once all parties agree to the plan, the supervisor assigns a compatible caretaker and performs follow-up visits on a quarterly basis. The care plan and schedule can be modified at any time at the client or authorized representative’s discretion.
In many cases, services can start within as little as a couple hours from when we receive your initial call but depending on location and caregiver availability this could take longer.
You can make changes to your schedule or services whenever you choose. Adjustments can be made on short notice without incurring any fees whatsoever.
You will never be locked into a long-term contract. You can choose to start or stop services with Cypress whenever you choose.
We are available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whenever you call, you can rest assured you are speaking to a Cypress HomeCare employee.
Cypress addresses the chain of command by attempting to resolve all issues at the lowest level possible to ensure proper resolution immediately.
Cypress adheres to all federal and state HIPAA rules and regulations. Patient confidentiality is addressed strongly in our employee handbook and training materials.
No. Your caregivers are paid by Cypress as employees, and should never ask you for payment outside of your weekly invoice.
The client or authorized representative will be invoiced after the completion of services on a weekly basis.
There are many ways that you can fund these types of services, including but not limited to long-term care insurance policies, private payment, state Medicaid programs, and your local Area Agency on Aging.
Your cost will vary depending on the services and level of care you require, plus the number of hours per week you receive care. Rates range from $26-$36 per hour depending on the services and level of care required. After speaking with you or your loved one, we’ll have a better understanding of your needs and will be able to provide you with a quote for services.
