About Lacey
The Cypress HomeCare team has a new four-legged addition – Lacey the therapy canine. Lacey is a beautiful Yellow Labrador who was born on January 13, 2011. When she was ten weeks old she was adopted by Bob Roth, Managing Partner of Cypress HomeCare Solutions. Bob knew immediately that Lacey had an exceptionally big heart and a special gift for caregiving. Bob knew firsthand from his years providing homecare the benefits of a pet and how much interactions with a pet can lift ones spirits. For this reason, Bob decided to generously share Lacey with the world and enrolled her in the therapy dog training program through Animal Actors of Arizona to become a certified Pet Therapy dog.
The training for pet therapy differs from basic obedience training by exposing the dogs to different stimuli such as loud sounds and other factors they will encounter during their pet therapy services. The program evaluates comfort levels when being touched and each dog’s responsiveness and friendliness around people. Finally, the dogs are tested by a Therapy International dog tester to receive their pet therapy certification.
With her kind eyes, gentle demeanor and extraordinary manners, Lacey can’t wait to finish training and start bringing these benefits to “her” clients. Lacey is calm, gentle, people oriented, and eager to please. These characteristics are necessary prerequisites to be a candidate for the pet therapy program. A star student, Lacey is expected to receive her certification from the Animal Actors of Arizona in January, 2012 just as she celebrates her first birthday.
Lacey loves making friends and brightens the day of everyone she meets. She is a natural when it comes to making anyone feel better. When Lacey isn’t visiting clients of Cypress HomeCare Solutions, she enjoys taking long walks, riding in cars, and playing fetch.
The Cypress HomeCare Solutions’ popular media hound is now available for interviews. Interviews with Lacey can be booked through her agent, Bob Roth.
This charismatic Yellow Lab is certainly ‘Best in Show’ and, as a high-profile canine celebrity, this star has a few demands:
- One bowl of drinking water (purified and chilled)
- One dog treat (meat flavor preferred)
- And lastly, all reporters requesting a Lacey meeting Must Love Dogs!
