My most precious currency: Time

Written by: Sami-Jo Roth

In this month’s Jewish News column, Cypress HomeCare Solutions Managing Partner Bob Roth reflects on turning 64 and how recent milestones have changed the way he thinks about aging, family and his most precious resource: time.

From undergoing surgery to becoming a grandfather for the first time, Bob shares how these experiences have brought new meaning to what he calls his “time capital.” He reflects on the 24th anniversary of his mother’s passing, the joy of welcoming his grandson Dylan and the importance of being intentional about where he invests his time.

Drawing on his Jewish faith, family relationships and commitment to serving others, Bob explores why saying no can sometimes be the most meaningful way to say yes to what matters most. His message is a reminder that while we can always earn more money, we cannot make more time, making it essential to prioritize the people, experiences and causes that give our lives purpose.
