Join us in congratulating Ara Juarez on being awarded Caregiver of the Year for 2018!
Since joining the Cypress in 2013 she has created measurable change in the lives of her clients. As a C.N.A., Ara is one of the most technically proficient caregivers on the Cypress Care Team and knows exactly which questions to ask. Her years of experience have actually helped to add time to people’s lives. One of her former clients was on hospice and very near to death when he met Ara. Due to her vigilance and compassion, the man’s life was extended by an entire year!
Not only does Ara demonstrate the compassion necessary to provide great care but she also understands the importance of staying hydrated and exercising. For her ambulatory clients, she is very adamant that they stay active and pushes hydration for all of her clients.
Ara’s current client and the family couldn’t express enough how deserving Ara is of this award! They added to the celebration by getting Ara a congratulatory cake and flowers. Her client was sporting some beautiful arm warmers that Ara made for her. Ara has taken it upon herself to learn how to knit from YouTube videos and now makes hats and arm warmers for her client.
Ara was quite humble while being presented this award and chose not to be photographed. She said simply that the most rewarding part of her job is “knowing that I am making people comfortable.”
