The toll of Alzheimer’s disease is reaching epidemic proportions in our country. The registry, with a goal of enrolling 250,000 people age 18 and up, with or without a family history of Alzheimer’s, by 2015, also supports participation in a variety of community-based Alzheimer’s prevention studies and gives members the opportunity to have a direct impact on the future of Alzheimer’s. Participation in the research studies are not mandatory to be part of the registry, however, researchers believe the registry is the best way to bring together those who believe now is the time to act against this horrific disease.
